Managing your account

Password, email, data export and deletion.

  • Change password and email without contacting support
  • Export a full JSON copy of your data anytime
  • Delete your account — and your data — on your own terms

Settings

From Settings you can:

  • Change your password and email.
  • Export your data — download a JSON copy of everything tied to your account.
  • Delete your account — permanent, and it removes your data. Type DELETE to confirm.

Signed in with Google? You can still set a password from Settings to enable email login too.

Changing your email

An email change is confirmed at both addresses — the new one and the old

one. Check the old inbox as well, or the change will sit unconfirmed. It works

this way so that nobody who reaches an open session can quietly move your

account to an address you do not control.

If you are asked for a code

When your sign-in is more than a day old, changing your password asks for a

six-digit code emailed to you first. Enter it and the new password saves.

It is there for one reason: a password field on its own protects nothing against

someone who sits down at an unlocked laptop. The code proves the person making

the change can also read your email.

Codes expire quickly and work once. If yours is refused, ask for a new one and

use it straight away — and if none arrives, check spam before anything else.

Frequently asked

How do I change my email?

From Settings. An email change is confirmed at BOTH addresses — the new one and the old one — so check the old inbox too, and so nobody can move your account to an address you do not control.

Why am I asked for a code when changing my password?

If your sign-in is more than a day old, we email you a six-digit code before the change goes through. It proves the person at the keyboard is you and not someone who found an unlocked laptop. Enter the code and the new password is saved.

The code did not arrive, or says it is invalid.

Codes expire quickly and can only be used once. Ask for a new one and enter it straight away. If nothing arrives, check spam — it comes from the same address as your other miatz email.

Can I export my data?

Yes — Settings → Export your data downloads a JSON copy of everything tied to your account.

How do I delete my account?

From Settings. Deletion is permanent and removes your data — type DELETE to confirm.

I signed in with Google — can I use a password too?

Yes. Set a password from Settings and email login is enabled alongside Google.
