Readiness — the number a manager can act on

One score per person, rolled up per team and per cohort, from learning done, proof earned and practice applied — with a one-click nudge for whoever is behind.

  • One honest number instead of five dashboards
  • Per person, per team and per cohort, from the same underlying evidence
  • The at-risk list tells you who needs help and why
  • Nudge one person or everyone who is behind, in a click

Three legs, one number

| Leg | Weight | What it measures |

|---|---|---|

| Learn | 40% | Share of the assigned curriculum finished, with partial credit for lessons in progress |

| Prove | 40% | The best credential currently held, discounted as it ages |

| Apply | 20% | Share of applied-practice attempts passed |

Each leg is shown as its own bar, so a score is never a black box: you can always see which leg is holding someone back.

Person → team → cohort

The same evidence rolls up three ways. A person in several cohorts counts in each. Everyone in scope counts, including people who have not started — otherwise a cohort nobody has begun would look healthy.

The at-risk list

"Needs attention" collects anyone who is past due, has gone quiet, or has never started what they were assigned, weakest first. Each entry says why. From there you can nudge one person or the whole list.

A nudge is a short, encouraging notification to that person alone. It carries no judgement, and it is audited.

What this is not

Readiness measures progress against an assigned plan. It is not an accreditation, not a degree, not a performance rating, and it makes no promise about anyone's employment.

Frequently asked

How is readiness calculated?

Three legs, weighted: Learn 40% (how much of the assigned curriculum is finished, with partial credit for work in flight), Prove 40% (the best credential the person currently holds, worth less as it ages), and Apply 20% (the share of applied-practice attempts they passed). The three combine into a single 0–100 score.

Why is someone's score low when they have finished their courses?

Because finishing is only the Learn leg. Proving — an exam passed and a credential issued — is deliberately weighted as heavily as learning, and applied practice counts too. Someone who has learnt everything and proved nothing shows exactly that, which is usually the useful signal.

What if a credential template has no level set?

It still counts. A credential whose template declares no level — or whose title does not name one — is scored at the base level rather than ignored, because ignoring it would score genuinely earned proof as zero. Naming the level on the template (foundations, associate, professional, specialist) makes the score more accurate.

Does an old credential still count?

Yes, but less. A credential is worth full value while it is recent, then tapers as it ages — and never falls below half its value, because it was genuinely earned. A revoked or expired credential counts for nothing; that is what the renewal path is for.

Who counts in a team or cohort score?

Everyone in it, including people who have not started. Averaging only the people who are engaged would report a healthy cohort that nobody has begun — the exact blind spot this board exists to remove.

What does a nudge actually send?

An encouraging in-app notification plus a push to that person's own devices, telling them what is waiting. It goes only to them, it says nothing about how they are performing, and it is recorded in your audit log so 'who nudged me' always has an answer.

Who can see this board?

Owners, org admins, enablement managers, team managers and analysts. Learners never see anyone else's readiness. Nudging requires manager level or above — analysts are read-only by design.

Is readiness a rating of the person?

No. It measures progress against an assigned learning plan and nothing else. It is not an accreditation, not a performance review, and says nothing about anyone's employability.
